This is an episode of BBC Horizon that looks into how cannabis has become an ingrained part of human culture and also delves into the arguments surrounding recreational and medicinal use.
Although the presenter clearly has his own view, using the evidence to back up his argument; this is actually quite a balanced programme. And whilst it shows that psychosis can be caused as a result of heavy use amongst teenagers, expert research also shows that this risk can be eliminated and psychosis even treated by using CBD (Cannabidiol) rich cannabis; a property which because of the illegal status and as a result, the lack of regulation, means that high THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol - this is the stuff that gets you stoned), low CBD strains are so readily available. And it could be argued, even encouraged.
